The Raw Kitchen's cupboard ingredients include nuts and seeds, dried fruit, herbs and spices, mineral salt or unpastuerised soya sauce, oils (I like to have cold pressed extra virgin olive oil, coconut oil and sunflower oil, treating myself to some flax oil from time to time). Sundried tomatoes and olives are always a good addition.
Pulses and seeds for sprouting are essential - I like to keep sunflower seeds, chickpeas, mung beans and alfalfa for adding to salads and soups.
For treats I keep dates, raw cacoa powder and cacao butter and agave syrup (for its low glycemic index) or honey (for its high enzyme content and healing properties), as well as a small selection of superfoods such as bee pollen, green superfood powder, and maca.
The bulk of raw vegan ingredients are fresh fruit and vegetables but you will also need stock cupboard items in your kitchen, as any kitchen does.
